article: Steel framed way speeds brizzie bridge build
pages 24-25
author: Chris M Harris
This article is centred around the construction of the Eleanor Schonell Bridge in Brisbane. Its steel construction produced a lighter structure requiring less support as well as enabling prefabrication and most of the assembly to be completed off-site. The article goes on to explore the ways that the structure was put together as well as the major benefits of the steel construction.
